WordStar was the word processor of the CP/M era, and this is MicroPro's release 3.00. Run it and it announces itself: COPYRIGHT (C) 1981 MicroPro International Corporation, MicroPro WordStar release 3.00 serial # WZ517687.
It Needs Installing First
What follows that banner is You are trying to run an uninstalled WORDSTAR. Please run INSTALL first. This is the distribution copy, which expects to be told what terminal and printer it is talking to before it will start. INSTALL is not on this disc, so as it stands the program gets as far as the banner and stops. We are hosting it as recovered rather than doctoring it.

Running It
It is not a bootable disc. Boot a System Master in drive 0, put this one in drive 1, and type 1:WSU at the 0: prompt.
Where It Came From
Recovered as a deleted file from Public Domain Disk 022 in the library, using einstein_dsk_recover from the Einstein Disc Tools. None of its blocks had been reused, so it came back byte for byte. Being on a disc labelled public domain does not make it public domain: WordStar was a commercial product, and it is here for preservation.
