About
This is a demonstration copy of Quadrax, the two-player game of forming a straight line of matching counters. Its title screen reads “Copyright ‘C’ A J & S E PACK 1983”. The released game is in the library as Xanagrams & Quadrax.
It was found on a plain, hand-labelled disc that turned up in a Kuma Castle Quest case, beside early versions of Castle Quest and Quest and a demonstration copy of Pelmanism. The program opens:

The game plays the same as the released version. Beyond the demo header and a start-up line that sets the machine up for demonstration, a few lines of screen layout differ, and when you stop playing the demo restores the screen and keyboard settings first.
Running It
The disc image holds just this program and boots XtalDOS. XBAS.COM is not on it; with XBAS available, type XBAS QUADRAX.
