About

An eighty column colour display card for the Einstein, designed by Tony Brewer, who also designed the Silicon Disc. A prototype was running in 1987, and B & H were reported to be "in the process of aquiring the rights". It was hoped it would be shown at the April 1988 Einstein show.

By 1990 the verdict in print was blunt: "the colour card for the TC01 looks doomed".

A Prototype, and No Evidence of a Product

There is no sign it was ever sold. What we are looking for is the prototype itself, photographs of it, or the design papers.

Eighty column colour would have changed what the Einstein could be used for, which is why the attempt is worth recording even though it came to nothing.

Can You Help?

Prototypes usually stay with their designer or whoever bought the rights. If you have anything connected with this card, please get in touch.
