About
Einstein Magazine & All Micro News was the house magazine of the UK Einstein User Group, published six times a year from New Romney in Kent by the Steam Computer Society.
This is issue 76, August to October 1995, 27 pages with two loose inserts, photocopied, by its own account, on three unreliable copiers and the backs of a timber merchant's price lists. Inside: writing letters in Xtal BASIC without a word processor; Memory Matters, a beginner's tour of the TC01's RAM with a token table and the MEMORY.XBS listing; a keyboard repair; notes on the 80 column card's video output; reviews of Druid and Grafdraw; JRT Pascal part 2; the editor on XtalDOS, DOS 2, DOS 80 and a CP/M Plus in development; letters on drive errors, belts for the 256, and life after the Einstein; and the two inserts, the User Group In Crisis appeal (printed on the back of the AMS 95 show flyer) and the Sales, Wants and Notices sheet.
About This Scan
Scanned from an original by TatungBytes, with a searchable text layer. Private home addresses and private telephone numbers have been removed, including the publisher's address in the mastheads and members' addresses and numbers in the notices. Names are kept. The redactions are painted into the page images and the searchable text was made afresh afterwards, so it holds nothing that was removed.
The Rest of the Run
The magazine ran from Einstein Monthly in 1987 to No. 111 in 2003. We have scanned Nos 76 to 80 and their companions ourselves; the other issues can be read on Einstein Reborn.
