About
A club and user magazine published by Glenfield Computer Consultants for Tatung Einstein, copyright Syntaxsoft, with Keith Hook and later Sue Manders printed as executive editor. Six bimonthly issues ran from January 1986, with Number 6 printed around January 1987. The cover price was one pound thirty five, though it was "AVAILABLE BY SUBSCRIPTION ONLY" at sixteen pounds a year.
Syntaxsoft made the Speculator, the Spectrum emulator that gave the Einstein a second life as a games machine, so The Brain is the house magazine of one of the most interesting parts of the Einstein story.
Where You Can Read It Today
Numbers 1 to 6 have been scanned and put online by Tatung Einstein Reborn, which is the fullest archive of Einstein paperwork on the web and the work of years. We have not copied their scans here. Read them on their own site, where they belong:
Can You Help?
Two things. Paper copies of Numbers 1 to 6, so we can scan them ourselves. And any issue after Number 6: readers were complaining about non delivery by June 1987, and whether a seventh issue was ever printed is an open question.
Please get in touch if you can help with either.
