About

A transportable Einstein built into an ABS briefcase by Alternatives of Lincoln Limited, with a Brother HR5 or HP ThinkJet printer fitted alongside. About a hundred and fifty were made around 1985 to 1986. Surplus units were cleared in 1988 by Saxon Electronic Supplies of Hinckley at ninety nine pounds, or a hundred and thirty five with the HR5 printer.

A hundred and fifty machines is a tiny production run, and a briefcase Einstein with a built in printer is one of the odder things anyone did with the computer.

No Unit, Photograph or Paperwork

We have never seen one, and we have never even seen a picture of one. Everything we know comes from the advertisements and from the user group magazines of the time.

Can You Help?

A photograph alone would be a result. If you have one of these, or a sales leaflet, or simply remember seeing one, please get in touch. With a hundred and fifty made, a few must survive.
