About

Tatung wrote directly to people who returned their registration cards. A Tatung letter of December 1987 states that "registered owners get a quarterly newsletter", and the user group press of the period refers to "the quarterly Tatung mail shot". There was also a Christmas mailing in 1985 carrying seasonal offers.

This is the manufacturer talking directly to its customers, with no magazine in between. It would tell us what Tatung was promoting, at what price, and for how long it kept supporting the machine after it stopped advertising.

No Copy Is Known Anywhere

Not a single one of these mailings has survived anywhere we can find. That is not surprising: a quarterly newsletter from a manufacturer is exactly the sort of thing people throw away.

Can You Help?

If you registered an Einstein and kept anything Tatung posted you, please get in touch, however slight it looks. A single sheet would be new to the record.
