About

Colour Prestel terminal software from Syntaxsoft, under their Orion label, written by Gerry Miles as printed. The full TM110 package was a hundred and thirty nine pounds ninety five in 1986. A later version, Syntel II, came "from the MERLIN stable" at B & H by 1988.

Viewdata was how an eight bit micro got online in 1986, and colour Prestel on the Einstein shows the machine being used as a communications terminal, which is a side of its life that very little surviving software documents.

We Have the Manual but Not the Software

The library holds the Syntel Viewdata manual. The program itself is not in the library and we have found no copy anywhere.

Can You Help?

If you have either Syntel or Syntel II, please get in touch. We would image the disc, send you the images, and credit you on this entry.
