Between 1987 and about 1991 the Einstein had local user groups all over the country. These are the ones named in print, as they printed themselves:
- West Country User Group, Saltash, which advertised a "quarterly newsletter £1"
- Midlands Einstein User Group
- South West Einstein User Group, Newton Abbot
- East Coast Einstein User Group, Grimsby
- Mansfield
- Bournemouth and Dorset
- Yorkshire
- 4/ABC, Chard
- PD SIG, Crowborough
No Copy Is Known Anywhere
Not one newsletter from any of these groups is known to survive. We know the groups existed because the national magazines listed them. Which of them actually issued a newsletter is not established, except for the West Country group, whose quarterly is advertised in print, and Avon, which has its own entry.
Can You Help?
This is the vaguest appeal on the list and possibly the most rewarding. A single surviving newsletter from a local group would be new to the record. If you have anything, however scrappy, from an Einstein group in your area, please get in touch.
