About
Genesis Word Processor from Solo Software: “A complete text editing system for your Einstein which has been designed with the first-time user in mind. Very simple to operate but comprehensive,” in the words of its case. Run it and it calls itself Genesis Text Editor V1.6 (C) S. Demant. The case gives the publisher as Solo Software Ltd of Blackpole Trading Estate West, Worcester, and carries an “Einsoft ‘Approved’” badge. No year appears on the disc or the case.
Running It
The case’s loading instructions: “Place this disk in Drive 0 and then switch on computer (or press reset). When ready, type GEN to load program. The instructions are on this disk as a file called GENINST. To read file, after loading the program, press the CTRL and the R keys together and then type GENINST in response to the request for the FILENAME?” Side A boots XtalDOS 1.11 and Genesis runs from it in MAME. On this copy the instructions text is in GENINST.DAT; the file called GENINST is blank.
