About

A disc operating system supplied on EPROM. It came with the Business Computer Centre's Big Disk in 1986, and the Bedfordshire Einstein User Group was still supplying "a supply of Flexidos on EPROM" to members at fifteen pounds in 1990.

The Einstein's own DOS could not cope with the larger drives people fitted later on, so several alternatives appeared. Flexidos is the one we know least about, and being on EPROM rather than disc it is the least likely to have been copied.

No Copy Is Known

We have neither a ROM image nor a physical EPROM, and no documentation.

Can You Help?

If you have an Einstein with an unfamiliar EPROM fitted, or a loose EPROM from one, please get in touch. We can read EPROMs and would send you the image along with anything we work out about it.

We don't have a copy of this one yet. If you've got it, we'd love to add it to the archive.
