About
Radio amateurs took to home computers early, and the Einstein was no exception. Three strands show up in print:
- The G4VPD amateur radio software, which appears on the UK Einstein User Group's "heritage commercial software list" in the mid 1990s
- RTTY software "obtainable from The Einstein User Group"
- Amateur radio software sold by the Business Computer Centre in 1987
RTTY and locator programs turned a micro into a piece of shack equipment, which is a genuine use of the Einstein outside home and office.
No Copy Is Known
None of it is in this library, and we have found none of it elsewhere.
Can You Help?
If you were licensed and used an Einstein in your shack, or you have discs from someone who did, please get in touch. Callsign software like this is often still sitting in the collections of radio clubs rather than computer collectors.
