Ultimate Play the Game was founded in 1982 by brothers Tim and Chris Stamper in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, and quickly became one of the most acclaimed British developers of the 8-bit era, pioneering the isometric "Filmation" engine used in Knight Lore and its successors. This archive credits Ultimate with Jetpac (ported to the Einstein in 1985) and Alien 8 (1986), bringing two of the studio's early hits to Tatung's machine.
