About
WDPro is a word processor for the Tatung Einstein, developed by Dr. B. Gladman and published by Kuma Software in 1984. Kuma later released a version of WDPro for MSX systems as well.
The manual for this title is archived here: WdPro Word Processor Manual.
Files on the Disc

$WDPRO.COM | 9,344 bytes |
WDPRO.COM | 9,344 bytes |
WDPRO/M.COM | 8,704 bytes |
Which Version It Is
The program itself never says, but a second copy of WDPro, recovered in September 2026 as a deleted file from the ZEN disc in this library, came with the configuration program that goes with it, and that names the version: This Configuration Program operates with WDPRO V2.60. The WDPRO.COM on that disc is byte for byte the same as the one here, so this is V2.60 as well.
That configuration program offers: set function keys, set printer driver, create new driver, display driver, set display width (80), and write WDPro back to disc. It is not on this disc, only on the recovered one.
If the Screen Stays Blank
Worth knowing before you try it: the recovered copy is set for an 80 column display, and on a standard 40 column Einstein it clears the screen and shows nothing at all. If that happens to you, it is the display width rather than a broken program, and the configuration program is what changes it. We have not been able to test WDPro on an 80 column adapter.
Running It
Boot a System Master in drive 0, put this disc in drive 1, type 1: and ENTER to change drive, then WDPRO.
