About
Volume 5 Number 3 of the Tatung Einstein User magazine, from B & H Computers of Halifax, about autumn 1991. The editorial offers B & H ten pound vouchers for articles and asks whether the magazine should cover IBM PC compatibles. Stephen Dodd shows how to draw graphs with The Cracker spreadsheet; Ted Cawkwell's Organising the Cat builds a disc catalogue with FIND.COM and two XBASIC programs; there is a review of the train driving game Southern Belle, with its route from Victoria to Brighton; ?Power? speeds up a Mandelbrot program and sets a competition; Learning C Part 5 by the Man in the Mountains covers file handling; and a first look at Golf, a new game by Ted Cawkwell marketed by Bugsoft on its AEGOS disk. Letters to the Editor cover a second hand Einstein with a Wordstar disk without its manual, a disc with no sector and the DSCCHK disk checker, and Roy Huffey's prize winning fractal triangle experiments, printed in full under Readers Programs alongside Mike Smallman's Boggle and Clem Cole's function key filer. A new competition asks for a program for an eleven year old reader's Martin the Alien shape. B & H's pages advertise PC systems, the Einstein 256 with a colour monitor for 200 pounds, Powerdraw and Colourplus, Amiga and Atari goods, and the November shows at Llandudno, Stafford, Barnsley and Bolton.
Printed page 27 is missing from this scan, so the Martin the Alien listing stops after its first line.
The listings from this issue, Roy Huffey's Triangle Power series, Boggle and the disc catalogue, are on a ready to run disc: Einstein User Vol 5 No 3 Listings Disc.
