About
Konami Four Game Arcade Pack is a game for the Tatung Einstein, published by Konami.
The Original Disc
The download is a flux dump of an original Konami disc. Side A’s label reads “Konami Software, 4 Game Arcade, Yie Ar Kung Fu * Kings Valley * Time Pilot * Comic Bakery, (C) Konami – All Rights Reserved”. Side B has a blank label and was never formatted, so only side A is in the package. The fold-out inlay carries the instructions for all four games and an “Einsoft Approved” badge.
Running It
The disc boots by itself into “Konami Disc Arcade”, which asks whether a joystick is connected and then offers the four games by number: Kung Fu, Kings Valley, Time Pilot and Comic Bakery. Yie Ar Kung Fu’s screen carries “© Konami 1985”.
Copy Protection
Track 0 is an ordinary Einstein track, but on every other track the ten sectors are numbered 10 to 19 instead of the Einstein’s usual 0 to 9. A disc copier, or a disc image made on the assumption of sectors 0 to 9, gets nothing past track 0; Konami’s own loader asks for 10 to 19. Every sector on the disc reads perfectly. The .dsk in the package keeps the real sector numbers, and both it and the .mfi boot and play in MAME.
Files in the Package
| File | What it is |
|---|---|
KONAMI4_A_ARCADE.scp | raw flux capture of side A |
KONAMI4_A_ARCADE.mfi | MAME flux image, which MAME can save to |
KONAMI4_A_ARCADE.dsk | disc image keeping the protected sector numbers |
About this Dump
Dumped on 26 September 2026 with a Greaseweazle V4 and an original Einstein 3″ drive. All 400 sectors read with good checksums. Nothing has been cleaned up.
