About
Two games from Solo Software on one disc, both written in Xtal BASIC and chosen from a menu. The inlay, “SOLO COMMANDO PLAIN/NIGHTMARE PARK No.17-0031-6”, carries an “Einsoft Approved” badge and describes them:
Nightmare Park. If you have never played this type of game before, you’re in for a treat. As you make your way along the intricate pathways to the exit you are constantly given tasks to perform or games to play. Each of these must be successfully completed before you are allowed to continue. It takes a lot of doing. You must remain quick and alert at all times. A little luck is handy too.
Commando Plain. You are testing an infra-red sighting device on a high plateau. This device allows you to see the mines scattered around the area and the commandos who are your opposition. The commandos cannot see as it is pitch dark … lure them onto the mines or get them to kill each other by accident to avoid capture. Choose from nine levels of difficulty.
Running It
The disc does not boot by itself and has no XBAS.COM. The inlay says: “First load BASIC from your System Master Disk by typing XBAS followed by the (ENTER) key. Wait until BASIC is loaded. Next put in this program disk with Side A uppermost and type RUN ‘LOADER’ (ENTER).” A menu then offers (1) Nightmare Park and (2) Commando Plain.

About this Dump
Dumped on 27 September 2026 from an original Solo Software disc (side A label “COMMANDO PLAIN/NIGHTMARE PARK, Load XBAS before loading this disk, ISBN 1 851114025”) with a Greaseweazle V4 and an original Einstein 3″ drive. Every sector read cleanly on the first pass. Side B carries a blank Solo Software label and was never formatted. The library’s earlier image held only the two games; this one adds the loader and menu that the inlay’s instructions rely on. The games themselves list identically.
