First AI game conversion for the Tatung Einstein

Mike Halliday * Notes on this project.

I have had more success today with AI - Gemini specifically. 4 prompt re-writes and about 20 mins in total processing time.

The first AI ported MSX to Einstein game. Ladies and Gents I give you Football Manager by Addictive games. Still a way to go and some polishing to do, the in match sound does not work, and the games seems to crash after 5 mins of play, but its a massive start!!!Football manager is now complete.

Two weeks later with hard work.

The game plays indefinitely and the in-game crowd sound and ball kick is working fully. Chalk up another new game for the Einstein!!

I grew up with early access to the Tatung Einstein thanks to my stepfather’s work at Decca/Tatung. While friends had ZX Spectrums and C64s, our family proudly used a TC01. Years later I rediscovered it—alongside the Tatung 256—and saw the potential these machines still hold. This site is dedicated to keeping the Einstein alive: building tools, sharing knowledge, and inspiring new coders to explore BASIC and beyond.
